Black History Month is an annual observance held every October to celebrate the history, achievements, and contributions of Black people in the UK. Introduced in the UK in 1987, the event features diverse creative events and activities to highlight often overlooked stories, promote knowledge and understanding of Black history, and address historical and ongoing inequities.
