Our Summer Reading Challenge runs until 15 September. This year the theme of the Challenge is ‘Marvellous Makers’, which is all about creativity.

The Summer Reading Challenge is open to all primary school aged children and helps encourage them to read for pleasure during the summer holidays.

There is also a Mini Challenge for Under 4's and the West Berks Book Challenge is open to anyone 12+ years.

You can sign up for free at any of our librariesin West Berkshire, including at any of our mobile library stops.

Don’t forget we have lots of great events running across our libraries to keep you entertained this summer, so visit Library Events to see what is happening in your local library.

From 24 May to 29 July, you will not be able to reserve books from library authorities that are part of the SELMS consortium.  However, you can still borrow and reserve items from West Berkshire libraries.
